[ There are a lot of weird things about that request, and after a moment's thought, Yu decides to roll with every single one of them. ]
Alright. I can try.
[ His arms don't want to move much, and this feels rather disturbingly like groping the other boy, but with some finagling he manages to grab the Evoker. Which. Feels a lot like a gun. You sure about this, Minato...
Yu can only shift his hands so much when his body is still compelled to hug, but he tries to hold it where Minato can reach it. ]
[It does in fact feel like groping, and only a near-infinite amount of patience, severe repression and the understanding that Yu didn't intend to do this keeps Minato from struggling to break free. Instead he remains still until he can sort of grab his Evoker, and takes it at once.]
...You might want to close your eyes. [Not because it's actually gory, but because most people wouldn't be unreasonable to find shooting one's self in the head creepy. Regardless of what Yu does though he'll be pointing the Evoker at his head soon enough...]
[ He's so sorry. He will properly apologize once he can let go. Truly.
The advice makes him curious, but while he nods, he doesn't actually take it. Instead he merely watches while Minato lifts the ... is that really not a gun? All he can do is trust that this boy is as good as his word, and isn't about to do something much, much worse. ]
[Well then. Yu's action is curious and gets a glance, but Minato will shoot first and ask questions later.]
Horus! [The sound of shattering glass is accompanied by a swirl of blue light surrounding them, followed by the appearance of a golden bird that flaps its wings upwards before enveloping the both of them with white light- Yu will be able to free himself after Horus vanishes.]
[There's very few things that can make Minato stop like a deer in headlights, but expecting Yu to freak out and working on his explanation on the fly only to be completely blindsided by the other's response isn't one of them. He's more than a little surprised for sure, and the end result looks a bit like he's gawking awkwardly.]
You know what a Persona is too? [Minato's first thought had been to ask if Yu was also a Persona user, but he catches himself in time- not every Persona user had good intentions, even if he doubts that Yu's anything like Strega.]
I use them as well. I hadn't expected to meet a Persona user outside of my friends here.
[ Yu himself has no similar suspicions to harbor. The only Persona user of malicious intentions he ever met was Adachi, and, well. That was something quite apart. ]
Yeah, me neither. [He pockets the Evoker smoothly, calmly tucking his hands back into his pockets. Then...could he be from the future? is what Minato's wondering about while looking up at Yu- there were so many questions he'd have liked to ask, but they were in a jungle and at the mercy of the elements, so he'd have to hold off on it.]
What year are you from, if you don't mind me asking? I'm from 2010 myself.
I had other reasons to believe they were lying, but this is just one more. I know we all come from different worlds, and can even come from different versions of the same world, but we're both Persona users. Chances are we're from the same place. [ A beat, and his own expression turns a little grin. ]
...The spirits too. [Neither side was appealing to be honest, and the last thing Minato intended to do was to be a played like a fool again.]
They might be grateful to us, but one of them- Maris- was responsible for the flood in the city. [He sighs softly.] I don't feel like we're being saved at all, honestly.
I'm not sure. I would have guessed they were out for revenge, but they did get what they wanted... [He hums thoughtfully, swatting a thankfully non-hug bug away.]
We'll probably have to pay attention to our surroundings- there could be some clues where we're headed to.
I don't think it's revenge. At least, not on us. It was colonists who helped rescue the Bridge, after all. But I agree their intentions might not be pure.
[ He blows out a breath. ] Keeping an eye out for clues is the best we can do. As far as I know, this is the first time anyone has ever been outside of Cerealia. We need to make the most of this opportunity while we can.
I agree. They wouldn't have brought us outside without any reason after all- by the way, what's your Persona? [Now he's curious, because Yu's calm is very much like himself.]
[Izanagi...a divine entity of Japan along with Izanami, who descended into the underworld to retrieve his wife after she died giving birth to a son only to run away, repulsed by her rotting flesh and famous for vowing that he'd sire a thousand and five hundred people for every thousand that Izanami swore to kill.
Most people would be impressed. So is Minato, even if he coughs lightly to himself- he'll hold off on the dad jokes until later.]
[ He and his friends just recently beat up Izanami, too. And he didn't even give Izanagi's full title, either.
But he'll nod, stepping back from Minato to give himself some room and holding up a hand. A spinning tarot card will appear in the air before him, and once he crushes it, Izanagi-no-Okami materializes in the air behind him.
! I see, so that's how you summon your Persona. [It might be a good idea to learn how to do that too... he thinks, brief surprise quickly subsiding once he has to address Yu's question.
That presents quite the problem really, since virtually everyone knows what a messiah is and it's hard to explain why it looks like him in particular. On the other hand he does have Thanatos...
What should he do?
> Summon Messiah anyway > Summon Thanatos > Use another Persona]
Yeah, he's only one of them though. This is my true Persona...Messiah! [The Evoker's raised calmly and pointed at Minato's head before he pulls the trigger, blue smoke swirling around him as Messiah appears behind the both of them, hovering for a while before vanishing.
Normally summoning something like the savior of the world would merit some kind of explanation for the inevitable "Dude, what the fuck was that!?" questions, but Minato tucks his Evoker back in its holster just as calmly as he did shooting himself in the head (Figuratively), tucking his hands back into his pockets before continuing on:]
[ Yu let Izanagi disappear just as Minato started to summon his own Persona. And boy, did his doing so ever raise about a billion more questions than he already had.
For one: he can summon more than one?
For another: what was that?
The humor wins a blink, and Yu is left just kind of staring at the shorter boy, not quite sure what to make of him for a long moment. Finally, all he says is: ]
[Minato's expression is carefully neutral when he hears that, and honestly he expected as much: Erebus was hardly the only problem the world had to face and it made sense that another Wild Card would have been necessary- he just hopes his successor was luckier than him.]
So you know about that too. Might you be one yourself, Narukami-san? [I don't really know if he is, but he reminds me of myself and I get the strangest feeling from him...]
Yeah. [Minato chuckles softly himself.] My friends though I was crazy the first time I mentioned it- can't really blamed them, since Junpei said I looked spaced out.

Narukami Yu.
[ He's taking a chance that a fellow Persona user is likely Japanese, too. ]

Arisato Minato, nice to meet you. So you're from my future...that means that CERES is lying without a doubt.
