My potential... [The color is returning to Minato's cheeks at least now that he's far away from the creepy mirrors, and he tilts his head in response to what Saiduq's said.]
[ He's not sure what it is or how to describe it as anything but a shimmering light full of possibilities. Personae...if they're similar to demons, then it's not entirely off the mark. ]
Yeah, that's what they're called. A Persona is like a mask we put on to face hardships, but my power's a little different since I can use more than one of them.
[Minato's expression is inquisitive though, as he wonders if Saiduq's actually sensing his Universe Arcana ability. That would certainly explain why they keep running into each other...] Do you usually tell people that you like their potential?
Interesting...a representation of the possibilities you hold in your hands.
[ Ah, wait. Minato's continuing to speak and had a question. ]
Yes, I do. Is that strange?
[ Sometimes he even flies down from the sky cloaked in blue aura while attacking JP's officers. He just wants them to know how much he loves the...........ir potential. ]
[That sounds remarkably similar to what Igor told him, and now Minato wonders just what sort of story Saiduq has to tell- something interesting, that's for sure.
...right. He was asked for his opinion, and he can basically sum it up with a shrug.]
Not really. I'm kind of used to it, I guess...it just seemed a little random that you mentioned this right now.
You asked for my motivations, and I answered honestly.
[ He's honestly not sure whether to bring up mirrorhaus again, but contrary to all appearances, Saiduq's much more likely to defer to honesty than deception. ]
You also seemed...pained, and I wished to ease that, in a way. Humans themselves often forget the splendor of their own souls.
[Minato remains silent as he stares at Saiduq out of the corner of his eye, leaning against a steady-looking wall for support.
Pain is hardly the word he would have used, even if he recognizes to some extent that maybe that was what he was supposed to have felt being shuffled from one foster to another, always being left alone while others moved on.]
...Pained, huh. [He shakes his head gently.] I'm fine...it's been a long time since that happened and I've moved on. [How can he not, when that's more or less the only thing he remembers about his parents?]
[ It's not his place to (re)open old wounds, and it definitely wasn't his place to willingly be in that building of mirrors, of memories that might cut a person worse than the shards. ]
But I still would like you to know that your soul is splendid.
[There's a lingering pause as Minato considers those words. His soul...it had been empty and meaningless once but people have come and gone, each leaving a trace of the bond they shared.
He smiles in spite of himself, a tiny upward curl of the lips coupled with genuine warmth in his eyes.]

You mean my ability to use a Persona?

[ He says simply. That's all. ]
Guess we can wrap up here?
He smiles in spite of himself, a tiny upward curl of the lips coupled with genuine warmth in his eyes.]
...Thanks, Saiduq.
