[The sound of something burning can still be heard briefly before fading away as Minato turns to face Shiho, catching sight what looks like a collar in turn.

[It comes out defensive and she takes a step back, eyes darting quickly to the mirrors and sees Minamoto being washed away by a torrent of water. Kaoru and the heart-stopping moment when a chunk of rock had hit her from behind.
She grips tight to her arms and presses herself against the wall, swallowing hard.]
[Whatever Shiho's seeing can't be pleasant and Minato immediately moves a few steps in front of her to block the view. Doing so places him right where he can see another mirror, and it's almost a pleasant surprise in comparison to see the moment in which he had made friends with Pharos.
That's strange though. What did this and the car crash have in common aside from Death playing a part in both memories? He could have turned to see Shiho's memories, but he won't do so and ]
We should leave...There's no use in relieving these memories.
[Despite the fact that she reminds herself that she's okay, that there's nothing she's afraid of, she still takes a hurried step back when he moves, eyes wide.]

He brushes his bangs apart to get a closer look at where the entrance must be, sighing under his breath as he starts walking. He does feel like addressing the collar though as that was deplorable, and he's quiet about it.] What happened to you...that was terrible.
[But not all people. Even paranoid as she is, she knows this difference. She stays behind him though she couldn't say it was entirely because this puts her in more of an advantage if he was planning to attack her.
Some part of her still wants him in front so she can be his back-up if necessary.]

[Shiho's always been pretty capable regardless of whether she's leading or following, so Minato's completely oblivious to anything having happened to her, discomfort from the mirror's images notwithstanding- anyone would have problems moving on from that, after all.]

[That...isn't something that feels appropriate to be talked about right now considering how guarded Shiho was even over her psychometry, and Minato himself is feeling out of sorts, so he moves on to another topic to distract the both of them.] It seems like a lot of people were taken here...is Kaoru-san here too?
[He's never known Shiho to be this defensive, and Minato immediately wonders if she's been affected by the mask like him. His mask is still tied to his wrist, and it's made visible when he folds his arms and turns back to look at her.]
Did your mask get attached to your face before this? You're acting pretty strange, and I haven't been feeling well since we were taken here.
[He nods.] Twice. I tried to throw it a few times, and it also attached itself to my face when I tried to hide it. [And that second time had been worse in a sense, since he hadn't expected it at all.]
[That sure is what it's all about, and Minato sighs sympathetically. These masks aren't easy to deal with.]
It can't be helped. Let's get out of here and look for our friends...it's pretty dangerous here. [Being on edge and feeling disposable isn't the best thing to have in a risky area, after all.]
[All he does is to nod as they get going, but Minato looks a little off to the side when 'something' is mentioned- he knows Shiho well enough to tell that something isn't literally what it means.
